Wg wiki box office tego "tylko dokumentu" wynosi prawie 20 milionów dolarów, czyli porównywalnie do sporej ilości "normalnych" filmów. Do tego koszt realizacji takiego "tylko dokumentu" jest nieporównywalnie niższy niż zwykłego filmu (bo Alex Honnold pewnie nie kasuje 10 milionów za rolę i nie trzeba było wydać drugich 10 milionów na efekty specjalne), więc zysk jest znacząco większy.
